06/30/10 THE CAST ABOUT
Hey everyone,
lots of things in the making... Thomas and I have been working hard on writing new songs, and we couldn't be more pleased with what is coming about. It's official! We are now called The Cast About. Lots more things to come, including a new web presence. In the meantime, check back here for news and updates on The Cast About's happenings. More to come!
As for me (Jason), I will be playing a solo show with Cara Maurizi at Bolitni Lounge July 9th. A part of the Champaign Music Festival. Come and see us!

You may have listened to Thomas and I play on the Weft Sessions 90.1 FM in April. Now you can download for free a couple of tracks that are featured on the live recording. Be sure to attend a show and pick up a copy of the entire session on CD that will be available this summer. Looking forward to getting it out there!

I will be playing a solo bit at Boltini Lounge Thursday night. "Exposed" is a spoken word event that I have been invited to play for. Not really a full set though, but a few songs to open the show, a few in the break period, and a few at the end I think. Free Appetizers and cheap Martini's... I've been to this before, if you like poetry and tons of attitude, you won't want to miss this.

04/06/10 WEFT WAS GREAT
Hey all,
Thomas and I had a fantastic time playing on WEFT Sessions last night. So many thanks to Mike Ingram for booking us for the evening. We were nervous at first, but everything was handled brilliantly by everyone. It was a great way to introduce new material in a relaxed setting. Thanks to everyone who listened in. Be sure to check up on us over the next few weeks as we gear up for some shows over the spring and summer. We will also have a recording of our WEFT Sessions performance to give out by then.
Let you know when we come up with that band name by the way!
